THE TOP 13 TUPAC QUOTES THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE

Tupac Amaru Shakur, born Lesane Parish Brooks in Harlem, New York, was more than a rapper. Philosopher. Massively intelligent poet. Torchbearer.

Shakur, who would have celebrated his 45th birthday today [June 16] has a legacy that still resonates today, and dare we say, is even more relevant than when his music first dropped. Politics, community, lifestyle were all Tupac’s muses, holding no punches, saying what he meant and meaning what he said. Shakur was a modern day revolutionary, a mouth piece for the bound and an advocate for the oppressed and messenger for the victimized.

Spewing raw emotion, whether lashing out against race relations or injustice, Shakur was a walking volcano. An icon transcending the walls of the Hip Hop genre, but a door-buster, a wild child who finessed articulation, logic and ferociousness with ease.

Aside from monstrous diss tracks, including “Hit ‘Em Up” and party anthems, Pac’s interviews and poetry book The Rose That Grew From Concrete (1999), filled with hand written poetry, were heavy-laden with verbal gems, inspiring the masses for a better life and world. Race, poverty and society became common place to the slain rapper, who was fatally shot on the Las Vegas strip on September 7, 1996.

Check out the top 13 Tupac quotes that will change your prospective, make you think things a bit differently than before and motivate you.
