CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WIN THE NBA CHAMPIONSHIPS 93-89

There are a lot of happy people in Cleveland right now. The Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers went head to head Sunday, June 19 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California for Game 7 of the NBA Finals. The game was extremely close throughout the four quarters, often within 2-points of one another or tied.

The Warriors and Cavaliers battled for the lead on and off throughout the game. Crowd favorites LeBron James and Stephen Curry both played well, but the Warriors suffered from multiple turn overs, at least four at the hands of Curry. James didn’t make his first 3-pointer until the last four minutes of the game. With one minute to go, it was tied 89 to 89. It was the Cavaliers, however, that would emerge victorious with a final score of 93 to 89.

The Cavaliers win caused James to break down in tears and ended a 52-year drought in the city of Cleveland. It’s the first time in NBA Final history a team has come back from a 3-1 deficit to win the Finals. Congrats to the Cavs!
